Tier list

Aniimo tier list

All 100 species in tiers SS to D, filterable by role. Three published rankings cross-checked into one, then corrected by playing.

14 placements are ours, re-ranked from playing. Another 19 are flagged because the lists disagreed and we have not settled them yet.

Where these placements came from

Three published rankings, all read on 2026-09-21. None of them is measuring quite the same thing, which is the point of using three:

  • aniidex.com — ranked 100 of 100

Datamined. Their page ranks creatures "by what the game files say they do".

  • aniipedia.com — ranked 89 of 100

Launch data plus a running community vote, six tiers from SS to D.

  • allthings.how — ranked 57 of 100

Hands-on and editorial, judged in the live game. Final forms only.

Each list's tiers are read onto one 0-4 scale using that list's own labels — aniipedia runs six tiers to the other two's five, so its SS and S both sit above the A that means what the others' A means. A creature's placements are averaged and the average decides its tier here. Where a list did not rank a creature, nothing is invented for it: the average is taken over the lists that did, and 3 species rest on a single list.

Averaging hides the most useful thing on this page, so it is flagged instead. A means the lists were two full tiers or more apart on that creature and we have not settled it ourselves — 19 of the 100.

Then it gets played. A placement we have checked in the live game is re-ranked to what we actually found, dated, and marked with a ; it stops following the three lists at that point, and a later refresh of them leaves it alone. S is that band — no average ever lands there, so everything in it was put there by hand. SS above it is the other thing entirely: the same creatures the cross-check has always had at the top, under a name that leaves room for S beneath them.

Within a tier, entries are in dex order rather than by score. The averages run to two decimal places and are not accurate to two decimal places, and sorting by them would say otherwise. The team builder still scores nothing and still names no best team — a tier list is a different claim, and this one says who made it.
